Service Area

Unincorporated areas of Lake County including Riviera West, Riviera Heights, Soda Bay, Kelseyville, unincorporated areas around Lakeport, Scotts Valley, Blue Lakes, Witter Springs, Lake Pillsbury, Upper Lake, Nice, Lucerne, Glenhaven, Clear Lake Oaks and Spring Valley.


Residential Services

Garbage Collection

  • Use gray cart.
  • Weekly. Carts to be placed at curb or road edge.
  • Choice of 20, 32, 64 or 96 gallon carts.
  • All material must fit inside cart. Lid must close.
  • Residents can also purchase pre-paid bags for garbage and put these bags out on the appropriate collection day. These bags are ideal for vacation homes and people that do not generate enough garbage to require regular weekly service. Bags can be purchased at our office located at 230 Soda Bay Road in Lakeport, 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Recycling Collection

  • Use blue cart.
  • Weekly (same day as garbage service). Carts to be placed at curb or road edge.
  • 96 gallon cart provided. All recyclables in same cart.
  • Recyclables include newspaper, household paper, magazines, cardboard, food and beverage glass, metal cans, plastic food and beverage containers.
  • All material must fit inside cart. Lid must close.


Greenwaste Collection

  • Use green cart.
  • Weekly (same day as garbage service). Carts to be placed at curb or road edge.
  • 96 gallon cart provided.
  • Greenwaste includes lawn clippings, leaves, plant material, branches under 4" in diameter, and small unpainted wood pieces.
  • All material must fit inside container.



Commercial and Multifamily Services

Garbage Collection

  • 2 to 6 cubic yard bins.
  • Serviced weekly or multiple times each week.

Recycling Collection

  • 2 to 6 cubic yard blue bins or 96 gallon carts (carts require Company approval).
  • All recyclables in same blue bin or cart.
  • Recyclables include newspaper, packaging paper, stationary, catalogs, magazines, cardboard, metal containers, food or beverage glass, plastic containers (no plastic wrap).

Debris Box Services/Clean-up Bins

  • 3 cubic yard cleanup bins available (small household cleanups).
  • 15, 20 and 30 cubic yard roll-off bin available for remodel, construction, landscape tear-out, and large clean ups.
  • Discounts offered for debris boxes containing only 'clean recyclables' such as cardboard, glass and appropriate plastics.
  • Discounts also offered for debris boxes containing segregated recyclables such as wood, greenwaste, metal, concrete, and asphalt.

Billing

  • Residential customers are billed quarterly. Bills are due and payable within 45 days from date of invoice. Commercial and multifamily customers are billed directly monthly. Bills are due and payable within 45 days from date of invoice. Payments may be made by check, cash or credit card.
  • Customers may also choose to drop-off payments at 230 Soda Bay Road in Lakeport, Monday through Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. A drop box for payments is located at the front door of the office building which is immediately on the left when entering the premises. Acceptable payments for drop-off include checks, cash or money orders. Online billing is now available in the payments section.



Waste Audits for Business

We can visit your business to assess your waste stream and determine whether more material can be recycled. We can help you design employee training to maximize recycling. More recycling may result in a reduction in your garbage bill. Call us to schedule an on-site visit.


Community Education and Outreach

  • We are available to make presentations to civic organizations and groups that would like to know more about leading-edge solutions in managing solid waste and maximizing diversion from landfilling.
  • We are available for classroom presentations in schools. Our children hold the key to maintaining and developing sustainable waste solutions of the future.

Curbside Oil

  • Residents who change their own motor oil can have oil picked up at the curb on their regular garbage collection day.
  • Containers are supplied by Lake County Waste Solutions. These containers must be used. No other containers will be picked up. Containers must be placed next to garbage cart.

  • Residents must call us in advance of garbage collection day if oil containers will be set out for collection.



Hazardous and Universal Waste

Hazardous Waste and Universal Waste is strictly prohibited in all garbage carts, recycle carts, greenwaste carts or debris boxes. This includes all paints, thinners, pesticides, motor oil, fluorescent tubes and electronics such as televisions, monitors, and VCRs.

Transfer Station and Recycling Center

Our Transfer Station is located at 230 Soda Bay Road in Lakeport. At this facility, we accept refuse (garbage), wood and greenwaste, construction and demolition material, appliances, tires, furniture, scrap metal, recyclables, motor oil and filters, batteries and home electronics.

  • Materials Accepted Without Charge:

    • Newspaper, cardboard, office paper, magazines, steel cans, food and beverage glass, plastic food and beverage containers
    • Scrap metal
    • Motor oil and filters
    • Automobile and household batteries
    • Consumer electronics (televisions, computers, computer monitors, printers, stereos and VCRs
    • Small household appliances (toasters, blenders, mixers, etc.)
  • Materials Accepted For A Fee:

    • Refuse (Garbage)
    • Wood and Greenwaste
    • Construction and Demolition material including concrete, brick, asphalt, drywall, shingles, porcelain toilets and sinks, and foam padding
    • Appliances (washers, dryers, refrigerators, freezers, water heaters, air conditioners, dishwashers and stoves)
    • Tires
    • Furniture (mattresses, box springs, couches and stuffed chairs)
    All loads of 5 cubic yards or more are weighed and charged by the ton. Discounts from the standard tonnage rate will be given for clean, separated wood and greenwaste and segregated loads of construction and demolition (loads containing only one type of material).

    All fees may be paid by cash, debit card, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover).
  • Hours of Operation:

    7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The Transfer Station is closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.




Buy Back Recycling

Beverage containers qualifying for California Redemption Value (“CRV”) can be redeemed at the State-Certified Redemption Center located at the Drop-Off Center at 230 Soda Bay Road in Lakeport. Checks are issued for redemption material. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.




Compost and Soil Amendment Available

Bulk compost is available for purchase at our facility at 230 Soda Bay Road in Lakeport. Our compost is made from recycled greenwaste collected in Mendocino and Lake Counties. Delivery is available. Bagged Soil Amendment is also available for purchase. All purchases may be paid by cash, debit card, or credit card (Visa and Mastercard).




Bulky Item Collection

  • Residents can have one (1) bulky item collected twice per year at no charge. Bulky items typically include a piece of furniture or an appliance. A charge for freon removal is applied for refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners.
  • Arrangements for collection can be made by calling us at 1-888-718-4888.
  • Collection of additional bulky items (beyond the two free collections) can be arranged for a fee.
  • For residential customers only.



Holiday Schedule


No residential or commercial collections are made on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day or New Year's Day.


If one of the above holidays occurs during a weekday, collection will be delayed one day for customers whose collection day is on or after the holiday. As an example, Thanksgiving Day falls on a Thursday. During that week all Thursday customers will be collected on Friday and all Friday customers will be collected on Saturday. Normal collection schedules resume the week following the holiday.
